  14. You should have received your device unlock code from the manufacturer of Garmin, however if you haven’t, there are instructions on the Internet to guide you on how to get yours.
Note: I do not encourage software piracy. Do not use a keygen to get your device unlock code.
  15. Copy the device unlock code and paste it in a notepad, then save the file as SW.UNL
  16. Reconnect your Nokia 5800 XM via cable using mass storage.
  17. Copy the SW.UNL file into C:\Garmin\ in your memory card.
  18. Install the downloaded Malfreemaps of Malaysia and Singapore. Refer to the installation guide on how to do that.
  19. Disconnect your Nokia 5800 XM from your PC.
  20. Go to Applications > Garmin Mobile XT > Settings > System > Remote GPS > Select ‘Use Attached/Built-in GPS’ > Enable and it’s all done.

  1. Hello, I've recently installed Garmin XT Mobile into my Nokia 5230 and I have a track available in Tools/Manage My Data/Tracks/View saved Tracks. I want to follow this track like if it was a route. Do you know if it is possible? Probably converting it somehow to route? This track goes both on road and off-road.

    1. Hi lilfoo, you are trying to backtrack your route for hiking or biking i assume. I have never use GarminXT for that purpose before. I apologize for uable to give you this info. Perhaps you might want to try ViewRanger. I use it for my hiking trips. It uses less battery power if you tweak it properly.
