Almost a Technocrat in Draft

Pondokan is a small village where the sulfur miners stay. It is also the place to stay overnight and do a day trip to either Mount Arjuna or Mount Welirang. Mount Welirang. Since i am coming down from Mount Arjuna, i stayed overnight at Pondokan and walk down to Tretes. Tretes is a small town. Ranupane basically means Lake Pane by the locals there. Stayed a night there before setting my journey to Kalimati for hiking up to the peak of Mount Semeru. It was a long journey and the trail is the most beautiful trail of my Surabaya trip. In the middle of the trail i passed an another lake by the name of Ranukumbolo. It was a breath taking view there. After a night at Mongkutoromo I start trekking during the morning all the way to the peak of Mount Arjuna. The whole journey takes about 8 hours of slow hike. Since i am hiking with backpack load, it's as slow as i can get. The trail has a less denser forest with thick grassland at the tree foots. It was filled with so many flowers till i have to stop so many times to enjoy the view and take "some" pictures. As i ascending near to the top, temperature were getting low. As far as i can remember it was less than 10 degree Celsius at the top with strong winds. This is the first day of hiking up to Mount Arjuna. The trail started at Tambawaktu village and ends at Mongkutoromo. Mongkutoromo is an ancient Indonesia Hindu ritual site that is still being used by the locals to perform their offerings to Hindu gods. It was a surprise for me as i had assume that all Indonesians have convert to Muslims for the past few centuries. Along the trail you will get to see the left overs of some ancient Hindu ritual sites that are already in rubble. There is also a "Warung" coffe shop where you can stop and enjoy some nice local coffee. This trail takes about 5 hours of slow hike to reach Mongkutoromo and spend a night there.
