Capacitive vs Resistive Touch Screen

Resistive Touch Screen
  • Designed to allow items other than your finger to activate the touch. It also allows touch pens otherwise know as a Stylus to be used.
  • Generally require a little more "effort", but you can use almost anything.

Capacitive Touch Screen
  • Best for situations that require high speed response and long lasting reliability.
  • Has to be used with fingers - cannot use a finger nail or other pointing device, cannot be used whilst wearing gloves (ie. when its cold).
